Former Falcons linebacker O’Brien Schofield has reached an agreement on a one-year deal, according to Andy Caplan of ESPN.

Schofield played for the Falcons last season and wanted to return, but he didn’t like the offer the team made over the offseason. He was also courted by the Jets and Patriots, but was not signed.

Schofield, 29, finished last season with 28 tackles, four tackles for losses, two sacks, 13 quarterback hits, and one forced fumble

Defensive end Nordly Capi and cornerback Devonte Johnson had their practice squad contracts terminated on Tuesday. The Falcons added tackle Carter Bykowski (Iowa State) and defensive end Davis Tull (Chattanooga) to the practice squad.
