Ex-Falcons tight end Jacob Tamme announces his retirement

Former Falcons tight end Jacob Tamme, who played with the team from 2015-16, announced his retirement on Thursday.

Tamme, a fourth-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2008 draft out of Kentucky, played in 130 NFL games and made 36 starts over his career.

He caught 59 passes for 657 yards and one touchdown for the Falcons in 2015. He played in eight games and made five starts in 2016 before suffering a season-ending torn pectoral muscle.

He played for the Colts from 2008-11 and with the Broncos from 2012-14.
