Falcons cornerback Robert Alford (wrist), wide receiver Roddy White (ankle) and wide receiver Harry Douglas (foot) did not practice on Thursday.

Defensive tackle Paul Soliai, who missed most of last week and didn’t play against the Arizona Cardinals because of a death in the family, returned to practice.

Defensive end Stansly Maponga (elbow) and right guard Justin Blalock (back) were limited in practice.

Smith had said that Alford would be fitted for a cast and was expected to try to go this week. He was originally slated to be out two to four weeks after suffering the injury against Carolina on Nov. 16.
