Falcons WR Drew Davis (foot) could return to practice
Falcons wide receiver Drew Davis is set to return to the practice field after being out since undergoing foot surgery in July.
Once Davis begins practicing, the Falcons will have up to 21 days to add him to the active roster from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
“We anticipate we will probably be starting his clock on Wednesday, barring anything unforeseen,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said.
Davis had issues with the foot at the end of minicamp in June and missed all of training camp. Davis remained on the PUP at the start of the season and had to miss a minimum of six weeks.
Davis, 25, is in his third season with the Falcons. He has 16 catches for 256 yards and three touchdowns in 32 career games and also has been a core special-teams player.
