After one season at Duke, freshman power forward Wendell Carter declared Monday for the 2018 NBA Draft.

A graduate of Pace Academy in Atlanta, Carter is the fourth Duke freshman this season to declare for the NBA Draft.

Carter averaged 13.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and two assists last season with the Blue Devils.

“I want to thank Duke University, my coaches and teammates for helping me so much, not only on the court, but off it as well,” Carter said in a video posted on his Instagram page. “We're all brothers, we all have each other's' backs. I'm really going to miss being around my friends, but I'm really going to cherish the moments we had together. I'm very excited and very happy to say I was part of something special here at Duke.”

Players have until April 22 to declare for the NBA Draft, which will take place June 21.
