After playing coy about its starting secondary throughout preseason practice, Georgia finally had to unveil its lineup Saturday.
The starters in the secondary, announced about a half hour before kickoff: Damian Swann and Devin Bowman at the cornerback positions, Aaron Davis at free safety and Corey Moore at strong safety.
Davis, a redshirt freshman walk-on from Luella High School in Locust Grove, appeared in his first game for UGA. He made a strong impression on new defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt in spring practice, when he was named the outstanding defensive walk-on.
Bowman, a junior from Rossville, had started only one game previously for Georgia, that against Buffalo in 2012. He played in nine games last season. He got the starting nod Saturday over junior-college transfer Shattle Fenteng.
Swann, from Atlanta, had played in 37 UGA games previously and started 27, including 13 starts last season. Moore, from Griffin, had played in 38 games previously and started eight, including seven starts last season.
