The Georgia Bulldogs were back on Woodruff Practice Fields in full pads Monday morning. It was workout number 12 of 29 they’ll get during the preseason. They’ll hold No. 13 — the third two-a-day in a week — later this evening.

Following are some quick observations made during the 14-minute media viewing period:

A lot of green jerseys: Green jerseys signify an injured player or non-contact status, and there were a lot following this past Saturday's scrimmage. They included receiver/kick returner Isaiah McKenzie, who had his left calf wrapped, and safety Dominick Sanders, who was not dressed out. Also on the field but not participating were fullback Merritt Hall and linebacker Ryne Rankin. Receiver Charlie Hegedus was riding a stationary bike. … Players that were in green but participating included receivers Chris Conley, Jonathan Rumph, Justin Scott-Wesley and Kenneth Towns. … Not seen on the field at all was noseguard Chris Mayes. UGA is not supplying injury information this season.

Jordan Davis is back: The redshirt freshman tight end had not been on the field at all for Georgia's last five practices, but he was in a red jersey and participating with his position group on Monday. UGA has never said what Davis' issue was. Players with concussions tend to sit out a week. … Fellow tight end Jay Rome, who is recovering from off-season foot surgery, was practicing full speed again after participating in this past Saturday's scrimmage.

Possible position change: It appears that freshman Detric Bing-Dukes has been moved to running back. At least that was the group he was working with Monday morning and he was dressed in the offense's red jersey. Bing-Dukes signed with Georgia out of Tucker High as a linebacker and had been working with that group until now. We'll try to find out more about this whenever coaches and players are available.

Left guard solidified? It's beginning to look like sophomore Brandon Kublanow may have locked down the left guard position. He has been lining up there consistently with the No. 1 offense and was again on Monday. Meanwhile, Kolton Houston and Watts Danzler seem to be alternating regularly at right tackle. Houston often moves to left guard when Dantzler comes in. Left tackle John Theus, center David Andrews and right guard Greg Pyke complete Georgia's No. 1 line.
