Rome, Ga. defensive end Jamarcus Chatman to visit Tech

Rome High School defensive end Jamarcus Chatman will visit Georgia Tech on Saturday for the Yellow Jackets’ matchup against Duke.

Chatman, a 6-foot-3, 253 pound junior from Rome, Ga., announced his upcoming visit on Sunday by posting a picture on Twitter of his recruiting letters and information from Tech and writing, "Georgia Tech visit this Saturday."

Chatman currently has offers from Georgia State, Kennesaw State and Brigham Young. Chatman’s offer from BYU was received on Sept. 11, according to 247 Sports.

In Chatman's sophomore season highlight video, Chatman fights through each play, demonstrating maturity as he focuses on rushing the quarterback, even when being held by opposing offensive linemen. Chatman's speed can be seen in his sophomore season highlights when the defensive end runs down opposing quarterbacks in the backfield.

Chatman and the Rome Wolves are 6-2, 5-1 this season, most recently coming off a 49-7 win over Villa Rica on Friday. The Wolves next test is against East Paulding High School on Friday in the Wolves’ seventh straight division game.
