Following an opening week loss to Georgia State, the Kennesaw State Owls remain in the top 10 of both FCS national polls released Monday.

The Owls check in at No. 7 in the STATS FCS Top 25 and land at No. 8 in the AFCA Coaches Top 25 Poll after dropping a 24-20 heartbreaker at Georgia State — their first FBS opponent in program history.

Brian Bohannon's squad opened the season No. 5 on the STATS FCS poll.

Kennesaw State travels to Cookeville, Tenn., for another Thursday night game against Tennessee Tech. The 7 p.m. kickoff will be aired nationally on ESPNU.
