Kennesaw State was no match for No. 1-seeded Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday night, losing 74-62 in the semifinals of the Atlantic Sun Tournament. Brandon Goodwin was the leading scorer for host Florida Gulf Coast with 28 points, and Kendrick Ray scored 27 points for the Owls.

The Owls kept up with the Eagles in the first half, trailing by only three points, but the Eagles scored 40 second-half points. The Eagles played a fast-paced game, scoring 13 points on the fast break compared with the Owls’ four. The Eagles also dominated in the paint, scoring 54 points to the Owls’ 26.

The Owls end the season with a 14-18 record.
