Georgia wins double-overtime Rose Bowl thriller

Sony Michel scored on a 27-yard touchdown run in the second overtime, giving Georgia a 54-48 victory over Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl Monday night. The Bulldogs will now play Alabama for the national championship at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium next Monday.

It was Michel who had fumbled the ball away to give Oklahoma a defensive touchdown and a 45-38 lead in the fourth quarter. But then it was Michel, taking a direct snap, going down the left sideline to punch it in.

Alabama defeated Clemson in the Sugar Bowl Monday night.
