Zach Hodskins’ story is amazing and the next chapter of it might take place at Florida.

According to a report by Yahoo!, Gators coach Billy Donovan offered Hodskins a spot on the team as a walk-on for the 2014-15 season.

Hodskins, a 6-foot-2 guard, was born without part of his left arm, but overcame that to become an outstanding player at Milton High School in Alpharetta, Ga. His left arm stops at his elbow, forcing him to dribble, shoot, rebound and defend with just one hand.

Neither Donovan nor Florida can comment publicly on Hodskins since he is an unsigned recruit. He has drawn interest from small schools and might eventually command a scholarship offer.

The 16-year-old made seven three-point shots in a game last November, averaged more than 10 points per game and reportedly has been recruited by mid-major programs.

According to a story in USA Today, when Hodskins was 11 years old he averaged 31 points per game for his middle school team.

“He is remarkable,” Milton coach Van Keys told USA Today. “Watching him play would be amazing anyway because he’s that good, but when you consider what he’s overcome to be so good, it’s almost surreal.”
