Atlanta Braves left fielder Ronald Acuna has a message for Braves fans after being placed on the 10-day disabled list.
“My dad always told me play hard no matter what happens,” Acuna wrote in a post on Twitter Tuesday night.
Acuna left Sunday’s game against the Boston Red Sox after being injured on an infield single in the seventh inning. The Braves initially classified the injury as “knee and lower back pain.”
He was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday after undergoing an MRI that showed Acuna has a mild ACL sprain in his left knee and a lower back contusion.
He is batting .265 with five home runs and 13 RBIs in 29 games this season for Atlanta.
