"I think it was a good win. For the first half it was an offensive display, both teams where making a lot of shots, a lot of plays. The defense can always be better but I thought it was great offense in the first half. Both teams tightened up a little bit in the second half and we were able to make enough plays. I think the guys executed some different ways. They played really well tonight and we feel fortunate to find a way to win." – Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer's opening statement

"I thought Al tonight was great. He comes back home a little bit. I think he enjoys playing here. I thought he had some big plays. It's great. He makes plays that the rim. He makes plays that the 3-point line. He makes them all over the court. That's why he's Al Horford." – Budenholzer on Horford

"I thought he made a lot of good plays. His ability to get to the rim and attack and put pressure on the defense and find teammates. Defensively, he gets into people and creates problems on that end of the court. I think a lot of different guys played well." – Budenholzer on Dennis Schroder

"It's one of the things that we've all seen a lot – how great it is to have Jeff at the end of the game. He's going to make free throws. Obviously, we missed a few that put is us a little tighter position but, Jeff, it's great you just feel confident when he goes to the line in the fourth quarter." – Budenholzer on Jeff Teague

"It's something that we've used. If we feel like it's going to create an advantage, we'll continue to do it. Part of it, they were playing so well offensively, it's a way to give your defense a little break and take the ball out of some other people's hands and change the rhythm of the game. Every night it's different and tonight in worked." – Budenholzer on Hack-a-Drummond strategy

"Not very good coaching, not very good execution the last 1:20, to be up by nine and have it go down to two. I think a lot of mental mistakes, all of us, myself included." – Budenholzer on Pistons' late charge

"This is a big win. They came out firing. They played really good tonight. I just felt like in the fourth, our defense and the intensity turned up a little bit. We hit shots too. We were pretty hot too." – Al Horford on win

"I was just taking what the defense was giving me and my teammates were doing a good job of finding me and giving me those easy dump balls. I was just finishing them." – Horford on his game

"That's part of the game. It worked for us this time." – Horford on Hack-a-Drummond strategy

"That's a really good team over there. They came out with a sense of urgency and were really focused. They are a playoff team. They are just fighting for their playoff lives right now." – Horford on Pistons

"I think everybody shot the ball really well. Both teams. But I thought we stepped up our defense, in the third quarter especially, and played with pace. Jeff Teague made the ball fast and when I came in I just played with pace. Everybody did a great job sharing the ball. That was key. And we did it for a longer period of time." – Dennis Schroder on win

"They were in a situation where they had to foul. It's something we work on every day in practice, to make free throws. I just knocked them down." – Jeff Teague on going 8-for-8 from free-throw line in fourth quarter

"It was a back-and-forth game. They were making shots. Down the stretch, we were able to get some stops." – Teague on win

"Strategy worked for us. They did the same thing to us, make us make free throws to get back in the game. That's part of it." – Teague on Hack-a-Drummond

"I don't think we pay too much attention to the standings, but now that you say it, it's a big win." – Teague on moving into fourth place in Eastern Conference

"We stuck with it. We did not get discouraged. We stuck to our game plan. They missed some shots. Our defense stepped up. Offensively, we did a good job of executing." – Paul Millsap on win

"They are a good team. They are going to make a run. We stayed poised for the most part. We had some bloopers down the stretch. You still have to be able to win the game." – Millsap on Piston's late run

"We knew exactly what was going to happen. We knew they were going to come out with a chip on their shoulder coming off that loss. We actually did better than we expected. We had hands in their face. I think we played pretty good defense. They just played better offense." – Millsap on facing Pistons after big loss

"Definitely productive. I think we learn a lot. I think we learn from our mistakes. That's the main thing, to learn from past mistakes and translate that over to the game." – Millsap on moving up standings

"He was making one and we got stops for a while. I probably rolled with it too long." - Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy on Hack-a-Drummond strategy
