Hawks finish with record TV ratings

The Hawks television networks announced Friday ratings in the Atlanta market were up 120 percent over last season, the best regular-season ratings ever for the team on FOX Sports South and SportSouth.

In 78 televised games, SportSouth had a rating of 2.2, up from 1.0 last season.

As previously reported, the Hawks win over the Warriors on Feb. 6 had a rating of 6.8 in Atlanta, the highest-rated Hawks game – regular season or postseason – ever on SportSouth. Previously, the highest-rated Hawks game was Game 6 of last year’s first-round playoff series against the Pacers with a 4.8 rating.

occurred during the first round of the 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs, Thursday, May 1 vs. the Indiana Pacers, generating a 4.8 HH rating.
