The Hawks recently received an award for their unique NBA fan "Code of Conduct" videos.

The video parodies of hit songs “Blurred Lines” and “Wrecking Ball” won the Golden Matrix Award for Best In-Game Feature at the annual Information Display and Entertainment Association (IDEA) conference.

The conference was held in Dallas July 13-16. Winners were voted on by members of IDEA, which represents major sports leagues and facilities in North America, as part of its annual recognition of achievement throughout the large screen video and matrix display industry.

The Hawks first created the "Blurred Lines" video, featuring V103 morning show host and Philips Arena public address announcer Ryan Cameron. It ran the first half of the season at the start of each half in Philips Arena to announce the NBA-mandated code of conduct policy for fans.

The "Wrecking Ball" video, featuring mascot Harry the Hawk, ran during the second half of the season.
