Hawks 106, Wizards 101

How the game was won: Jeff Teague scored a game-high 26 points as the Hawks came out aggressive from the start. They set the tone early and led by as many as 14 points as the even the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series at 2. Al Horford had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Paul Millsap finished with 19 points after battling foul trouble much of the game. Bradley Beal led the Wizards with a game-high 34 points.

Turning point: The Wizards came out of halftime with a 9-0 run to cut the Hawks' lead to 65-64. The Hawks answered with a 9-2 run, with Teague scoring four points, to stop the Wizards' momentum and regain control.

Number: 18. First-quarter points in the paint for the Hawks, who started in attack mode. Nine of their 13 field goals in the period were inside baskets.

Next: The series switches back to Atlanta for Game 5 at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Philips Arena.
