Peter Moylan will get another chance to make a major league pitching staff.

The Kansas City Royals announced via Twitter on Friday afternoon that they have signed Moylan to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training with the major league team.

Moylan, who turned 38 in December, appeared in 50 games for the Royals last season and compiled a 2-0 record with a 3.43 ERA.

The sidearm-throwing reliever from Australia was a fan favorite when he pitched from the Braves from 2006-12 and 2015. In those eight seasons he was 21-9 with a 2.62 ERA in 317 appearances.
