A recap of the Braves’ loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday at Turner Field.

How the game was won: The Reds pounded out 11 hits, including two homers, against Braves starter Eric Stults en route to an 8-3 victory. The Braves didn’t get a hit against Reds starter Jason Marquis until the fifth inning while suffering their fourth defeat in five games.

Number:13. Consecutive games with a hit for Braves catcher A.J. Pierzynski before he went 0-for-4 on Saturday. Pierzynski had hit in all 13 of his previous games played.

Next: The Braves play the Reds at 1:35 p.m. Sunday on SportsSouth. Julio Teheran (2-1, 4.67 ERA) faces Johnny Cueto (2-2, 1.95).
