Thursday: Braves LH Mike Minor (6-2, 2.47) vs. RH R.A. Dickey (4-6, 4.85)

About the Braves: The Braves return home for a second consecutive two-game series vs. the Blue Jays after splitting two games at the Rogers Centre. The Braves have a majors' best winning percentage at home, going 15-5 (.750), and have won their past seven at Turner Field. Medlen has four quality starts in his past five games, but is winless at 0-2 despite a 3.06 ERA over that span. The Braves rallied to win a suspended game in New York his last time out. Medlen's last win came April 16 against the Royals.

About the Blue Jays: The Braves and Blue Jays are tied for second in the majors with 66 home runs apiece. Toronto has two of the top five home-run hitters in the American League in Edwin Encarnacion (14, tied for second) and Jose Bautista (12, fifth), each of whom hit one off the Braves in the two-game series in Toronto. Rogers makes his first start since 2011 with the Rockies, moving in from the bullpen. The Blue Jays' rotation is depleted by injuries to Josh Johnson (triceps) and J.A. Happ (skull fracture) and the struggles of Ricky Romero. Rogers has pitched three innings in each of his past two relief appearances.
