What's new: A.J. Pierzynski lost his 13-game hitting streak to start the season on Saturday and surrendered the start behind the plate for Sunday's day game to the rookie catcher Christian Bethancourt. Pierzynski went 20-for-49 (.408) with three home runs during the streak. Center fielder Cameron Maybin had hit four home runs entering Sunday, which was tied with Freddie Freeman and Kelly Johnson for the team lead and just five shy of his career-high for a season. Maybin hit nine home runs in 137 games with the Padres in 2011. Braves starters are 9-8. They entered Sunday play ranked 21st in the majors with a 4.31 ERA. The Phillies' starting rotation was 5-14 and ranked 26th with a 5.16 ERA.
