How the winning run scored: Former Atlanta Brave Pete Orr's third inning single scored Tyson Gillies in the top of the third. Gillies had a lead off double and took third on a sacrifice bunt. Orr took third on a throwing error on a pick off attempt and scored on a sacrifice fly.

At the plate: Brandon Boggs led off the G-Braves second inning with a double, took third on a balk and scored on a sacrifice fly by Luis Nunez. The Braves (51-72) were held to five hits with doubles by Boggs and Matt Pagnozzi.

On the mound: Braves starter David Hale (6-7, 2.99) gave up all three IronPig runs, two earned, on seven hits with one strikeout and one walk in six innings. Relievers Andrew Russell (2 2/3 innings) and Joe Beimel held the IronPigs hitless the rest of the way.

What's next for the G-Braves: They hope to avoid a sweep when they close out the four game series with the IronPigs (63-60) at 12:05 p.m. Monday.
