The Braves' first telecast of the year Saturday included introductions of the new in-game reporter and the new spring training complex.

Kelly Crull, hired this week to replace Kelsey Wingert on the telecasts, wasn't scheduled to work the opening exhibition game against the Baltimore Orioles on Fox Sports Southeast, but she was briefly introduced on-air.

“Excited is an understatement,” Crull said of how she feels about her new job. “I am thrilled to be here.

“I am excited as all get-out about this Braves team this year,” she added, “and I think some really special things are happening right now.”

Play-by-play announcer Chip Caray, analyst Jeff Francoeur and reporter Paul Byrd welcomed Crull, who previously was the in-game reporter on Chicago Cubs telecasts.

“I hope Braves Country embraces her as well as it has embraced the rest of us,” Caray said.
