Braves hold Christmas in July at CHOA

Several Braves players, coaches and spouses visited Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Scottish Rite to deliver toys in the annual Christmas in July event on Thursday.

The toys were donated in the Braves Wives Toy Drive.

Craig Kimbrel, Justin Upton, Alex Wood, David Hale, Shae Simmons, Chasen Shreve, Tyler Pastronicky Gus Schlosser and manager Fredi Gonzalez took part in the afternoon event prior to the Braves-Marlins game. They all delivered toys to bed-ridden patients.

Members of the Braves front office also took part in the event in hospital’s Zone, an interactive area for volunteers to meet patients while playing basketball, mini-golf, board game and doing arts and crafts.
