Sept 16, 2021Atlanta United striker Josef Martinez and centerback Alan Franco were named to the MLS team of the week on Thursday.
Martinez scored two goals and Franco set a franchise record with three assists in Wednesday’s 4-0 win against Cincinnati at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Additionally, Ezequiel Barco, who had a goal and an assist, was named to the bench.
Atlanta United will host D.C. United on Saturday in an important game in the MLS playoff race. Atlanta United is in the seventh and final playoff spot. It trails D.C. United by one point.
