Atlanta United announced Friday that it waived midfielder Anderson Asiedu.

Asiedu, 22, was the team’s first-round pick in this year’s SuperDraft.

Asiedu didn’t make an appearance for the senior team. He made 10 appearances, with eight starts, for Atlanta United 2 in the USL Championship. He had two assists.

Atlanta United also announced that Julian Gressel and Gordon Wild have Green Cards, which frees up two International slots on the roster. Waiving Anderson also opens a roster spot.

The team’s International players are: Ezequiel Barco, Franco Escobar, Pity Martinez, Dion Pereira, Florentin Pogba and Eric Remedi.
