The first banner, or tifo , raised by Atlanta United's supporters featured a golden phoenix on a black flag, with the words Unite above the phoneix and conquer below.

Five stripes, alternating red and black, flowed from the upper deck down into the banner, which was unfurled in the lower deck.

The tifo was unfurled in the North end of Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium ahead of Sunday’s inaugural game against New York Red Bulls.

Atlanta United’s four supporter groups, Terminus Legion, Faction, Footie Mob and Resurgence, planned the banner for months. It was more than 180 feet wide and 60 feet tall.
