Atlanta Dream

As the Atlanta Dream play in the WNBA Finals, one of the critical pieces of the Dream's success is point guard Jordin Canada.

The Atlanta Dream aims to stay calm and steady as they approach the franchise’s first WNBA Finals appearance in 13 years.

Atlanta has a WNBA team worth celebrating. Now the city needs to give the Dream the home, mascot and support that a rising franchise deserves.

The Dream led by 12 points in the first half and held on to defeat the New York Liberty, 85-83, on Friday night at Barclays Center.

The WNBA Finals will take center stage this week, with the Dream facing the Valkyries. The Dream will play Games 3 and 4 on their center stage, also, at State Farm Arena.

The Atlanta Dream are back in the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2013, but State Farm Arena, their host for the playoffs, has other events lined up in the facility.

Golden State has become one of the top teams in the league in just two years.

The Dream went up 2-0 in their semifinal playoff series against the Liberty after a 101-98 win in overtime Wednesday at State Farm Arena.

After a grueling overtime battle in Game 2 of the semifinals, the Dream beat the Liberty 101-98 to extend their undefeated postseason record.

The Dream announced Tuesday it will play home games at State Farm Arena beginning in 2027.
