A Cobb County woman was critically injured after being hit by a car Thursday afternoon.
Jeannie Richards, 40, of Marietta, was attempting to walk across Delk Road at the intersection of Franklin Road when she was hit by a Ford Focus around 3:50 p.m., according to Officer David Auld with Marietta police.
Richards was transported by ambulance to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in critical condition, Auld said.
The crash remains under investigation, but no charges are expected, according to police. Anyone with information concerning this crash is asked to contact Officer Geoff Culpepper at 770-794-5357.
