Three bat-shaped weapons known as batarangs were confiscated at Charlotte Douglas International Airport this week, according to the Transportation Security Administration.
A batarang is a throwing weapon used by comic book vigilante Batman. It gets its name from looking like it's half bat and half boomerang.
In addition to the batarangs, the TSA seized nationally 57 firearms and other contraband at airports.
