A woman was arrested Friday after being accused of sending anonymous letters to a family stating "she wanted to taste and lick their children," WCCO reports.
Police said Carrie Pernula, of Minnesota, sent an unsigned letter on Sept. 27 via postal mail that read, "The children look delicious. May I have a taste?” The family then started to receive random magazine subscriptions under the name “tasty children,” Champlin Deputy Police Chief Ty Schmidt said to WCCO.
The family alerted the authorities, who were able to trace the magazines back to Pernula’s home. Pernula was reportedly angry “because the kids were leaving things in her yard and I think being a little noisy,” Schmidt said to WCCO. Pernula admitted to the threats, WCCO reports.
She was released from jail Monday but could face charges of gross misdemeanor terroristic threats and stalking, according to WCCO.
