A woman looking for her cats under her bed Tuesday instead found a man that had broken into her house, according to an arrest report.

Christian Vatovec, 25, broke into the Palm Springs home through a rear window and snatched a gold bracelet and a digital camera, the report said. The total value of the two items was about $800.

Vatovec ran out the back door and officers stopped him near a canal, the report said.

He faces charges of burglary, larceny and resisting an officer without violence. He remains in Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $53,000 bail.
