Authorities found a woman hiding from police under a flourishing marijuana plant while they conducted a welfare check Sunday, according to police in Western Australia.
Police responded to a home in Manjimup after the woman's ex-partner told officials she was being "held against her will" at the house, according to a report from WAtoday.
The woman, who was not identified, was found unharmed.
"The homeowner at first denied any knowledge of the woman, but officers subsequently found her in the back yard hiding under a marijuana plant," a Manjimup policeman told WAtoday. "It wasn't really well-thought through."
Police charged the homeowner, identified by WAtoday as a long-time friend of the woman, with several counts related to drugs.
