A kindergarten science class now has a new mascot after finding it hiding in some salad.
The girl was at home when she found a 3-inch green lizard hiding out in the salad she was getting ready to enjoy.
She and her mom were worried because the lizard was cold and lifeless, but after getting some warmth and moisture, he was back to his regular self, according to NJ.com.
Faye brought the lizard to her science teacher, Mark Eastburn, the next day at school, and the class quickly adopted it as a pet.
"Interesting things can happen when you’re working as a science teacher," Eastburn said.
The science lab has a new mascot! Say hello to "Green Fruit Loop."
