Want a cool new pet? How about a fully trained alligator?
That is what one Florida woman was selling on the Facebook page "Polk Pets Page" for the lofty price of $700, WTSP reports. The woman, Mary Thorn, said the alligator is "fully trained" and can do a few tricks.
“Fully trained alligator, does not (bite), potty trained, wears clothes, sits on (props), knows sign language as well as English. Only serious buyers. Must have class 2 license,” the ad read. WTSP reports Thorn was listed as “a pro wrestler and entertainer with Florida Championship Wrestling and studied animal science and animal behavior at Polk State College.”
As for why she was selling the alligator, Thorn told one commenter that she did not have 2.5 acres in her yard to house the animal, WTSP added. The site added that Thorn was adamant that she had the proper licenses to sell, but the post on Facebook has since been taken down.
