A Florida man decided to strip down and take a swim in a condo community pool, drawing protests from residents.

The man claimed he did it “because I was hot.”

Deputies said they received a call June 3 about a man entering a beachside Panama City condo, taking off all his clothes and entering the pool, the Northwest Florida Daily News reports. One employee at the condo told deputies that the man was asked to put his clothes back on, but he declined.

By the time deputies arrived, employees had succeeded in convincing the man to put his red underwear back on. The man told deputies that “he was suffering from heat stroke and had to get into a pool to cool off,” and decided to come to the condo pool after he was kicked out of the one next door for attempting to swim there. He was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, trespassing and disorderly conduct.
