Bank workers thought something was odd when Caryl Vanzo’s feet dragged under her wheelchair as her son David rolled her inside. Cops say that’s because Caryl had been dead for several hours.

A neighbor had questions when the pair got into a cab. "I don't know if she was unconscious, or not alive," they told WSMP.

Vanzo withdrew $850.00 and went home. Seven hours later, he reported his mother had died.

Fox9 reports responding officers "were greeted with the stench of urine and feces." And that wasn't the end of it. "They found her in bed in a robe and fur coat, with her boots covered in bodily waste."

David told the station “I took care of my mom for years; I’m the good guy here, not the bad guy.”
