A Budweiser beer truck and a Frito-Lay potato chip truck collided in Florida overnight, causing the roadway to shut down temporarily, authorities said.
The crash happened near the Pineda Causeway exit on I-95.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Zachary Basinger, the driver of the Frito-Lay truck, had stopped on the right shoulder for an unspecified reason.
Robert Ferrer Rodriguez, the driver of the beer truck, told troopers that he tried to move out of the way but couldn’t get around another vehicle in time, so his truck struck the chip truck.
The Frito-Lay truck overturned and chips and beer spilled onto the highway, which had to be temporarily closed while debris was removed.
Rodriguez was ticketed for failing to maintain a single lane.
No injuries were reported.
