A Virginia woman was sentenced to a year in prison Monday after her conviction for threatening to bomb a Virginia Beach convenience store last year, WTKR reported.
Crystal Ann Mostek, 34, was convicted for an April 3, 2018, incident, when she walked into a 7-Eleven and placed a paper bag on the counter. "Bomb, Call 911," was written on the bag, and she then threatened to blow up the store, the television station reported.
After an investigation, officials determined the bag contained a smoke detector, WTKR reported. She was arrested April 4, 2018.
Mostek pleaded to guilty to threatening to bomb and explosive hoax charges, according to court records.
Mostek said she does not recall in the incident, and that she was taking the wrong medication at time of the bomb threat, the television station reported.
Mostek also was fined $1,235 and placed on indefinite probation, according to WTKR.
