UPDATE: Duluth Police on Tuesday filed two more arrest warrants for men suspected in the August home invasion that left one man dead and a woman and a child wounded. James Leroy Stokes, 28 of Norcross, and Jonathan Julius Pichardo, 26 of Winder, are both sought on armed robbery and felony murder, according to warrants filed in Gwinnett County magistrate court.

Police on Tuesday noted the composite sketches they had released earlier this month but did not say whether they were helpful in developing leads to the identity of the robbing crew. The five have not yet been arrested but another unidentified man who is suspected of involvement is already in custody on unrelated charges.

Original Report:

Duluth police have identified three men whom they are seeking to arrest for a home-invasion robbery that left one man dead and a woman and a child wounded.

The triggerman was Devon Antonio Jenkins, 21 of Lawrenceville, according to a warrant filed by Duluth detective Bobby Johnson.

Jenkins and other men kicked in the back door of the house around 6 a.m on Aug. 6 and he shot and killed Adam Schrier with a .22-caliber pistol while wounding Jami Smith in the leg and shoulder and Madison Schrier in the arm, the warrant said.

The motive was to rob the 37-year-old Schrier of a bag of illegal drugs, the warrant said. The type and quantity were not listed.

Brian Joseph Brewner, 28 of Flowery Branch, is the accused ringleader of the plot, according to another warrant. Brewner sent Jenkins and two other men into the house on Summer Crest Lane in Duluth and then picked up the robbing crew afterwards, the warrant said.

The third man sought, 30-year-old Pierre Cedric Scott of Snellville, was paroled from Coastal Prison on June 18, where he had been serving 10-year sentence for distribution of marijuana in 2012, according to state records filed with his arrest warrant.

Police have been tight-lipped about the case, except to say the robbers struggled with Schrier, who was shot dead at the scene. During the struggle, a woman, a juvenile and Schrier were shot, according to police after the robbery. The warrrants issued Friday did not identify which shooting victim was the child.

Duluth police Maj. Don Woodruff said the woman and an 8-year-old girl were wounded A 4-year-old child was found unharmed inside the house, Woodruff said.

Police released sketches of two suspects about a week after the robbery.
