Settle in for a wet, soggy day Tuesday. With an 80% chance of rain in the forecast, it won’t be a day that you’ll want to be caught without a raincoat.
“It’s going to be a busy weather day,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said.
Downpours are expected to move in early and soak the state for the majority of the day, he said.
“It’s going to be our third straight morning where we have had rain,” he said.
The Southside is already receiving its share of the soggy weather with downpours in Henry County. The rainfall is a bit heavier than Monday’s showers, according to Monahan.
Between the morning and afternoon, the rain will move from south to north, having the least impact in North Georgia, Monahan said. We won’t see a lot of sunshine throughout the day, he added. The sun will appear for only about three of the day’s 13 daylight hours.
The wet weather will also keep temperatures down. The day’s high is predicted to cap out at 83 degrees.
