Atlanta police are investigating after three people were shot in northwest Atlanta on Thursday night.

Preliminary reports suggested the three people were in the 2100 block of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard near the Collier Heights apartments when they were shot around 10 p.m.

All three of the wounded were conscious and alert as they were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, according to Atlanta police spokesman Officer John Chafee.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and no one was immediately taken into custody, he said.
