A motorcyclist who was injured Monday in a crash with a landscaping truck in Cobb County has died, police said Tuesday.

Alexander Seidnitzer, 18, of Marietta, died after he was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, police spokeswoman S.A. O’Hara said.

The driver of the truck, 27-year-old Joshua Peavy of Smyrna, was not injured, police said.

The crash temporarily shut down lanes on both sides of Johnson Ferry Road at Lake Rill Court, Cobb County police Sgt. Wayne Delk said at the time.

The motorcyclist was heading south on Johnson Ferry Road, police said. The truck crossed into its path while trying to turn left from Lake Rill Court onto northbound Johnson Ferry Road.

No charges are anticipated, O’Hara said.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact police at 770-499-3987.
