1. Four metro Atlantans charged in 'largest known' hacking, fraud case

The hackers were part of an international conspiracy reaping over $100 million by hacking into corporate earnings reports prior to their release. According to federal authorities, the men also made illegal stock trades based on the information found in the reports. Read more.

3. Opponents of DeKalb Atlanta United soccer deal speak out

Opponents said that the team's deal with DeKalb county is a waste of taxpayer money and urged that the government deliver regular reports regarding its cost. This was the first time they were able to make public comments about the deal to the DeKalb Commission — one week after the deal was sealed. Read more.

4. Reed seeks to seize Peachtree-Pine by eminent domain

Mayor Kasim Reed wants to use eminent domain to build a police and fire station where the Peachtree-Pine homeless shelter property currently stands. Reed says the shelter is a hub for tuberculosis infections — according to information from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention — and is asking for the business community's help in building the new facility. 5. Democrat wins runoff for Brookhaven House seat

Taylor Bennet — former Georgia Tech quarterback — won a runoff against former Brookhaven Mayor J. Max Davis for the state House of Representatives Tuesday, giving control of the Northern Perimeter district to a Democrat. His win gives Democrats over one-third of the seats in the state House.
