4. Census: Fewer Georgians lack health insurance, but state still lags
According to the U.S. Census Bureau's report on Wednesday, the percentage of Georgians who lack health insurance fell in 2014. However, the state's percentage of residents without coverage last year was the fourth-highest in the country. Only Florida, Texas and Alaska trailed behind. Read more.

After his statement to the media on Tuesday, Gwinnett County Sheriff Butch Conway said Wednesday that the public response to his statement was a shock.
