Gov. Nathan Deal will sign school turnaround legislation Thursday.

House Bill 338, entitled The First Priority Act, details how the state will intervene in Georgia's lowest-performing schools in school districts that amend their flexibility contracts to allow it.

Deal’s office said he also will sign several other bills at the 9:45 a.m. ceremony under the Gold Dome: HB 37, HB 139, HB 198, HB 224, HB 237, HB 430, HB 437, SB 186 and SB 211.
