Say it ain't so: Froot Loops are all the same flavor!

Story brought back to life by taste test

The original "revelation" was made back in 1999 by a website called The Straight Dope.

But through the years the story was forgotten.
Now two other sources have resurrected the mono-flavored truth, and it’s being met with mouths agape.

Foodbeast went so far as to do a blind taste test and the results were fascinating.

Despite all those neat colors, Froot Loops all taste alike.

"Each loop does in fact taste like mildly sweetened cardboard, with negligible or no differences between them," they wrote.

To their credit, Kellogg's doesn't claim each brightly colored piece of sugary goodness tastes like a different fruit.

Instead, they describe Toucan Sam’s favorite breakfast as “packed with delicious fruity taste, fruity aroma, and bright colors.”

They add the cereal is "made with whole grains and lightly sweetened."

What’s next? Will we learn fried rice is really steamed, or pork and beans don’t contain pork?
