There will be a plentiful supply of sunshine and warm weather throughout metro Atlanta this weekend.
Temperatures are expected to climb into the lower 80s by Saturday afternoon and Sunday’s weather will likely follow suit. There’s little chance of rain this weekend and skies should remain clear, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Eboni Deon.
“Lots of sunshine as you make your way out and about today so don’t forget to grab those sunglasses,” she said. “You won’t need any extra layers because temperatures are running well above normal.”
The high for the day in Atlanta is 82 degrees, according to Deon’s forecast. High clouds could mix in from time to time, but the skies should be mostly sunny throughout the day.
The weekend could produce one of the highest pollen counts of the past 10 years for this time of the year, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz. That’s a concern for those with springtime allergies. The pollen count is expected to be 295, putting it in the extreme range, Nitz said.
Light wind breezes will blow in from the south in the day. The balmy temps should persist well into the night for those planning to enjoy some nightlife. Deon expects it to be around 70 degrees at 11 p.m.
“If you’re going to be out late, it’s still going to feel nice and comfortable.”
