Plenty of sun and warmer-than-average temperatures are expected to combine for a beautiful Saturday that may entice many Atlantans outdoors this afternoon.
“It’s going to be a great Saturday! Lots of sunshine,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Glenn Burns said. After a cool start to the day, the afternoon high is expected to reach 58 degrees in the city, several degrees warmer than the average high for this time of year.
Relatively light winds and drier air should keep Saturday afternoon mild, “but that will all change Sunday,” Burns said.
Warm air from the south is expected to bring in moisture later in the day Sunday, leading to showers that linger overnight and into Monday morning. The second half of the weekend should start off cloudy and dry before the rain moves in late in the afternoon.
