Autumn is just four days away, and Georgians will start feeling the cool air starting this weekend.

Saturday will see a high in the low 70s, Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

“We’ll keep the cloud cover around (Saturday), mostly cloudy sky. We’re also going to have a cool northeasterly wind,” Nitz said.

Temps will fall to 65 degrees on Saturday and 56 degrees on Sunday, according to Channel 2.

The cool air will keep the temperatures below average, and those venturing out to the mountains should take some sweaters since it will drop into the 50s there, Nitz said.

While the weekend will be cloudy, it’ll also be dry.

There will be rolling closures in both directions of Ga. 166 at the I-285 interchange until 5 a.m. Saturday, GDOT said.

Maintenance activity on I-285 North near South Cobb Drive will start at 9 a.m. Saturday and is expected to be cleared by 7 a.m. Sunday, GDOT said.

Additionally, all lanes will be closed at the I-285 and Ga. 400 interchange overnight to work on construction projects on the road and bridge, GDOT said.
